Nuvi Lab’s AI Food Scanner Selected to Receive CES 2021 Innovation Award
Nuvi Lab will be exhibiting at Seoul Pavilion prepared at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2021, the world’s largest technology show. The company was founded in 2018 and it provides food waste reduction solutions (eco cafeteria) and diet-based health healthcare services through an AI food scanner that can accurately measure the type and quantity of food by using AI (Artificial Intelligence), object recognition, and volume measurement technology. Nuvi Lab was recognized with a CES 2021 Innovation Award in the healthcare and sustainability sector.
The company staff said, “Our food scanner first uses AI object recognition and volume measurement technology to recognize the type and quantity of food conveniently and quickly. After that, the collected data is analyzed by an AI model to convert the type and amount of food left after consumption into data. After objectifying and quantifying the collected data, the actual drinking water and expected consumption (by people) are calculated through the final analyzed data. We provide the solution based on this.”
He then said, “We intend to actively participate in overseas exhibitions to conduct additional verification of our business models that have been supplemented for overseas markets. As the CES 2021 exhibition is the world’s largest electronic product exhibition, I think it will be a venue to listen in on the opinions of potential buyers and industry-related people about our products,” about the purpose of participating in CES 2021.
Continuing from last year, Seoul Metropolitan City has formed Seoul Pavilion for CES 2021, and it will promote 15 outstanding companies selected in the three fields of transportation and environment, safety and welfare, and economy and living to the world. These companies that have been selected through the evaluation of their abilities to enter the overseas market by private investors will be provided with the expenses to participate in the CES online exhibition, and with the opportunity to participate in the first Live CES Seoul event held by the global investor Plug-and-Play.
